Delphinium

What are rare sight it is to see blue flowers. A delicate symphony of blues unfurl in this watercolour painting of delphinium flowers. Tall and elegant, the spiky stems rise gracefully with clusters of blossoms. The translucent washes of colour capture the subtle gradations in the petals. Soft, fluid brushstrokes convey the fragility of each individual bloom. Hi, my name is Farrah and I live in Sydney, Australia. I was born in Sri Lanka but came to Australia when I was 11. I now work as a graphic designer, but I also like to paint in my downtime, watercolours being my preferred medium (for now). I've been painting for many years but now am aiming intentionally to dedicate more time to art.
