Artist Bio

An avid and enthusiastic painter since childhood, I started a diploma of fine arts after leaving school, however I also studyed Naturopathy and finished a science degree so I view my time painting as joy.
When younger, I exhibited in many exhibitions in NSW and QLD, managing one solo exhibition at Ashanti Balmoral Beach.
However after this I took a large break from painting to raise 2 amazing sons.
Since returning to painting , I released a Colouring Book for adults called Colour Serene and ultised my artwork to make a card deck with uplifting words added.
I also attended a workshop in Brisbane held by the great Australian artist David Hinchliffe which was very valuable.
Recently I had an opportunity to collaborate with traditional washi paper masters and their gallery owned by Tottori Government Prefecture. Japan.
I was honoured to be invited to hold an exhibition in September/ October 2025 highlighting the magnificent Tottori tourism attractions.
My latest paintings are mainly Japanese in theme, exclusively on this handmade immaculate Washi paper. These artworks usually take 2 days to complete, requiring several or more layers, as paint may behave differently with every unique piece of Washi. However the effects and vibrancy up close are worth it . This paper is also known to last 1000 years.
I use mainly acrylic and watercolours and a little ink.
I couldn’t describe my style.
Lately finding my inspiration from being captivated by beautiful Japan.
