Artwork Description

Artwork Influence
Every flower has a memory, a story, for me. I am always inspired by the beauty, elegance and tranquillity of the nature and light, and I find watercolour the most tender medium to capture a hint of such beauty. When painting with watercolour, I must surrender and be at the present moment, to let the colours run through water and trust that they will manifest how I feel at that moment.

The unique range of colours you see in gum trees are among many of my visual obsessions.
Turquoise, Jade, Indigo blue, Teal, all these amazing colours were so rare and unique to me as a kid. Having a 24 colour pencil sets was like having a treasure. I got one as a very rare gift when I was six. For a week or so, every thing I drew was painted with these colours until they were gone... I think I still do the same thing, except that I am not afraid they will be finished!

Artwork Description
My artworks are signed at the front and are sold unframed. Framing is a personal choice and most people prefer to choose their own frame, based on their interior design. When framing a watercolour painting, please ensure to use a Paspartu (a mat-board) to prevent the glass and the image from touching, and also to increase the visual appeal of the painting. Using a Paspartu will increase the framing size, though.
It is possible to arrange for framing via Bluethumb; if you are interested, please let us know.

Sizes

The measures provided are based on size of the watercolour surface. there are small margins that will be covered by Pasrpartu, when framing. The weight of the artwork is just an estimate.

Artist Bio

I’m an intuitive artist who learned by exploring, drawing, and painting from the time I was old enough to hold a pencil. I never studied arts, but I absorbed what I saw and learnt from every resources I had.
I paint what makes my heart sing, what calms my soul down, and quiets my mind's ongoing conversations. Flowers, nature, playfulness of light, and dancing branches, they all keep me present and I try to capture a hint of their beauties by my paintings. I love watercolour and acrylics, each helps me to express myself differently.
My watercolour artworks bring stillness and pause ; and then there is a shift, music and dance through my acrylics painting. And I know, I won't settle for a medium, they are the means to express myself and I will not limit how I express myself through colours.
