Artwork Description

Artwork influence

Part of a daily challenge I had set for myself in Feb, 2023, to paint a watercolour a day, to capture the daily beauties enchanting me, to be present, to be at peace, and to share it with others.

With this painting, I tried to capture colours but also fragility of peonies and the glass vase. There is a fine line between capturing all those colours in multiple layers of paint and overdoing it, causing the painting to lose its delicacy. Their fragility reminds me of the fleeting nature of life, but painting brings me peace and tranquillity. As the colours come to life, I realise I'm not just capturing their beauty, but also my own sense of wonder and gratitude for the world around me.

Artwork Description

My artworks are signed at the front and are sold unframed. Framing is a personal choice and most people prefer to choose their own frame, based on their interior design. When framing a watercolour painting, please ensure to use a Paspartu (a mat-board) to prevent the glass and the image from touching, and also to increase the visual appeal of the painting. Using a Paspartu will increase the framing size, though.
It is possible to arrange for framing via Bluethumb; if you are interested, please let us know.

Sizes

The measures provided are based on size of the watercolour surface. There are small margins that will be covered by Pasrpartu, when framing.
Please note any in situ images of this artwork is to offer décor, installation, and framing examples only and is not to exact scale and is unframed. So, please check the dimensions before purchasing.

Artist Bio

I’m an intuitive artist who learned by exploring, drawing, and painting from the time I was old enough to hold a pencil. I never studied arts, but I absorbed what I saw and learnt from every resources I had.
I paint what makes my heart sing, what calms my soul down, and quiets my mind's ongoing conversations. Flowers, nature, playfulness of light, and dancing branches, they all keep me present and I try to capture a hint of their beauties by my paintings. I love watercolour and acrylics, each helps me to express myself differently.
My watercolour artworks bring stillness and pause ; and then there is a shift, music and dance through my acrylics painting. And I know, I won't settle for a medium, they are the means to express myself and I will not limit how I express myself through colours.
