Ibises

Ibises are the icon of Australia. You see them everywhere. We have beautiful Glossy ibis and scarlet ibise too. I just wanted to give them a new loving look. I am very pleased with the composition and colour scheme. These purple ibises in semi abstract are very attractive and add colour and joy to your room. The straight lines and colour matching took me a month to complete this painting. It was very time consuming but I am very pleased with the result.

Ferie started her career as an interior architect and later as a graphic designer.

Her background as a designer has given her strength in drawings, composition,
perspective and colour coordination. She loves the softness and the moodiness of the
watercolour; lately she is also exploring other mediums like acrylics and alcohol inks.

She is exhibiting her artworks regularly throughout the year. Recent awards are:
a Highly Commended in the 2022 WSQ Annual Exhibition,
a First Prize in the 2020 The Australian Watercolour Muster
and a Third Prize in the 2019 EKKA exhibition.
