Torch Gingers

Red Torch Ginger flowers are amazing . A massive ginger producing long-lasting flower spikes up to 1m tall. The unusual torch ginger flowers may be red, pink or orange. I couldn't resist to paint these very waxy, sculptural flowers. I decided to paint the background white to increase the impact of these beautiful flowers. This painting brightens any room and it will be amazing on the white or red background.

Ferie started her career as an interior architect and later as a graphic designer.

Her background as a designer has given her strength in drawings, composition,
perspective and colour coordination. She loves the softness and the moodiness of the
watercolour; lately she is also exploring other mediums like acrylics and alcohol inks.

She is exhibiting her artworks regularly throughout the year. Recent awards are:
a Highly Commended in the 2022 WSQ Annual Exhibition,
a First Prize in the 2020 The Australian Watercolour Muster
and a Third Prize in the 2019 EKKA exhibition.
