Artist Bio

Fernando Pinto was born in Caracas, Venezuela, 1948. In 1964 he began his studies at the School of Beautiful Arts of Caracas: "Escuela de Bellas Artes". Pinto studied Classic Art under the tutelage of Rafael Ramon Gonzalez, Alirio Rodriguez and Regulo Perez, among others, with additional studies in photography and music and graphic design. He later traveled throughout Europe to research and study different techniques and styles.

Pinto has a quick and definite ability to visualize the presentation of his artistic projects, which have evolved through the process of investigation and expressive transformation. The new techniques and styles have resulted in the masterpieces depicted within this website which reflect the artist' spirit of innovation. In his studio in Venezuela he works every day without sketches, inspired as he creates and executes his work directly on canvas and in sculptures. His subjects include the human figure enmeshed in the world of music and humor. Pinto aims his work toward a viewer' subconscious using multiple processes, which he calls New-Symbolism, to create an impression which will be remembered for a long time.
