Artwork Description

Travelling through New South Wales, after the fires had been through the forest, then just a year later, travelling the same path and seeing the burnt out trees now surrounded by floodwaters made an impact. The support of community and the signs of recovery in the forest are also represented in the bright colours used here.

My profession as a speech language pathologist working with children with communication challenges is often the source of inspiration for my bold, bright and expressive work! I paint intuitively and enjoy freedom from a specified goal. I love to paint faces which convey emotion, but also enjoy bright abstract florals, landscapes and sometimes birds and other animals.
