I have always been passionate about nature, rambling walks along river banks, summer gardens overflowing with billowing flowers, places that restore the soul and allow us to face whatever the day may bring.
My mission is to surround myself with the beauty of nature - an everlasting garden of flowers and vines.
I like to introduce a bit of the wild side into my work, never striving for realism, but rather to give the impression of a world that wants to escape its boundaries. I attempt to achieve this through expressing how a subject makes me feel, through loose brushstrokes, floating petals, colours pushed a little further. I prefer to paint subject matter not confined to a container, but with the intent of having the work 'live free'.
