Artwork Description

This painting is a direct response to the beautiful, unscripted chaos of daily life. I am not interested in creating a sterile, photographic record of my environment; instead, I paint the emotional resonance of a memory. This piece stems from those familiar, sensory-rich evenings spent in the suburbs—long nights listening to music, sharing a bottle of wine with Panga, and laughing through those funny, imperfect moments we all experience but so often rush past. It balances the quiet routine of the domestic space with a sudden burst of spontaneous energy. For me, it captures that exact feeling when a quiet afternoon routine shifts into something completely unexpected, joyful, and deeply human. It is a visual celebration of a passing moment that is entirely worth holding onto, remembering, and smiling about.

Artist Bio

I see the world in shapes and colours. With more than 30 years of experience as a creator, my art is the result of a life lived across borders and cultures. Having lived overseas and travelled widely, I’ve found that painting is the only way I can truly express myself without words. It has been my loyal companion through every season of change, giving me energy and a sense of purpose. I am deeply in love with the process of creating something new, the journey of the brush is just as important as the finished piece. My work is an intuitive response to the sights and sounds that surround me, inviting the viewer to join me in that sensory exploration. I am deeply in love with the process of creating something new, which is why I’ve learned to trust spontaneity and embrace imperfection. My work is a visceral response to my environment, not a literal record of it; it is a way of seeing the world for myself, rather than recording how others expect me to see it. By letting the energy of the moment guide my hand, I make room for the intuitive marks that define my journey. Each piece is a sensory dialogue............a response to sound, sight, and the raw joy of the unscripted path.
