"Sipping in the Dark" is a contemporary abstract still life that captures the dim, intimate atmosphere of a candlelit lounge through geometric minimalism and high contrast linework. Influenced by early 20th century Cubism and sleek Mid Century Modernism, the composition fragments stylized silhouettes of wine glasses and bottles into flat, intersecting planes. A moody colour palette of charcoal, obsidian, and rich terracotta provides a textured backdrop, while stark white outlines create a dramatic, chiaroscuro inspired contrast.
