This mixed media piece is an exploration of texture, contrast, and structured chaos. I built the composition using a combination of layered acrylics, mark-making tools, and textured block printing elements. On the right, a structured, olive-green grid mimics the repetitive windows of urban high-rises, juxtaposed against fluid, organic black and white forms that anchor the bottom of the canvas. At the top left, delicate, rain like scratch marks overlay floating organic shapes, creating a sense of movement and weather. The painting shifts between heavy, grounded shadows and light, airy textures, inviting the viewer to find their own narrative in the abstract landscape. My work is deeply influenced by the constant dialogue between the structured, man-made world and the unpredictable beauty of nature. Living in a modern environment, I am fascinated by how concrete architecture intersects with organic elements like moss, shifting shadows, and sudden rainstorms.
