Artwork Description

This artwork features a compact, abstract collage constructed from narrow strips of hand‑painted black and grey paper. The pieces intersect in a loosely woven formation, creating a subtle grid that feels structured yet intentionally imperfect. Each strip carries its own visual language, circular motifs, delicate linework, soft tonal shifts, and flowing marks that resemble natural textures. These patterns disrupt the geometry of the collage, allowing organic movement to emerge within the structured arrangement. Influenced by the interplay of patterns, layering, collage, and organic forms, the work explores how fragments can build new meaning through connection.

Artist Bio

I see the world in shapes and colours. With more than 30 years of experience as a creator, my art is the result of a life lived across borders and cultures. Having lived overseas and travelled widely, I’ve found that painting is the only way I can truly express myself without words. It has been my loyal companion through every season of change, giving me energy and a sense of purpose. I am deeply in love with the process of creating something new, the journey of the brush is just as important as the finished piece. My work is an intuitive response to the sights and sounds that surround me, inviting the viewer to join me in that sensory exploration. I am deeply in love with the process of creating something new, which is why I’ve learned to trust spontaneity and embrace imperfection. My work is a visceral response to my environment, not a literal record of it; it is a way of seeing the world for myself, rather than recording how others expect me to see it. By letting the energy of the moment guide my hand, I make room for the intuitive marks that define my journey. Each piece is a sensory dialogue............a response to sound, sight, and the raw joy of the unscripted path.
