Artwork Description

Diving into crackle paste and the results were way cooler than I expected! I spent some time building up a layered background, and it revealed a stunning antique, weathered look that instantly gave the piece a vintage feel. The suggestive text in the back ground whispers on another time. This is a mixed media piece on a 20" x 20" Canvas

Artist Bio

Fiona Taylor, an emerging artist from Perth, Western Australia, joined the Bluethumb art community in 2024, driven by her lifelong passion for creativity.
Fiona's early fascination with art led her to formal art education during high school, where she discovered a love for screen printing on textiles. However, life led her down a different creative path. After starting a family, she immersed herself in Screen and Media, specializing in animation and 3D graphics, bringing life to 3D objects through textures and animation then venturing into post-production and special effects.
It was later that Fiona picked up the paint to embrace a new artistic chapter, choosing acrylics and fluid art for their liberating and dynamic nature. Her work invites viewers to lose themselves in the intricate flows and patterns of her abstract creations.
Fiona fearlessly experiments with various mediums, like resin and textures, weaving them together to create captivating compositions.
Fiona's creative process varies, sometimes meticulously planned with a specific vision, while other times she finds joy in the spontaneity of her work. As she stands on the brink of her artistic journey, Fiona eagerly anticipates exploring diverse mediums, styles, and subjects. With abundant artistic potential, her path ahead promises excitement and fulfilment as a talented emerging artist.
