Artwork Description

This artwork was inspired by desert waterholes at night. I wanted to use bright colours against a black background to create a sense of warmth, movement and layers across the landscape. The blues, greens and earthy orange tones evoke the colours of northern Australia.

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Fletcher Maher, a teenage Indigenous artist living on Kaurna Country. My art is inspired by the natural world around me—sunsets, the ocean, creeks, and rocky landscapes. I love capturing the energy of these places and bringing them to life through colours and textures.

I’m still exploring and evolving my style, but my passion for nature is at the heart of everything I create.
