This painting is inspired by the shapes and colours you see along the coast, where the water meets the sand and everything blends together. I was thinking about beach curves, sea foam, and how waves leave patterns behind as they go out. The colours are based on what you might see on a calm day near the ocean - soft blues, greens, sand tones, and deeper sea colours.
