I am a visual artist based in Naarm, Melbourne. I completed a PhD degree across Computer Science and Visual Art from University of Sydney in 2014. I had the opportunity to learn tonal painting from a family friend between the age of 8 to 14. My fascination for painting has never stopped ever since.
My current practice in painting focuses on the narrative aspects of subject matters and using them for storytelling. I primarily paint in oil, acrylic and at occasion watercolour. I take an interest broadly in portraiture, still life, and landscape that represent or is part of everyday experience. Besides painting, I also have a career in information visualisation, in other words, the science behind representing information in visual format.
I consider the craft of painting takes a lifetime to learn and dedicate to.
