The influence of this painting was Portuguese sculpture called voyage to discovery. My interpretation is a posse of like minded people on a voyage to discover a better world .

I started my creative journey over 30 years ago studying interior design in Perth Western Australia .This ignited a passion for design and the ideology around art and architecture. How can we nurture creative thinking and bring to our living spaces .I moved to Melbourne in the late 90's to study visual arts at RMIT university .It was a wonderfully creative time where I shared a studio space in an Artist collective on the Maribyrnong in Footscray At this time learnt the art of glass texturing and In the early 2000's I moved to the nsw south coast and started a business in texturing glass panels for architectural installations. I also started creating large sculptural pieces of metal and glass. Over this time a became fascinated with the Japanese technique of woodblock printing going to Japan to learn this art . With getting older and the effects of creating large sculptural pieces becoming harsh on the body I now mainly work in print or paint with occasional small sculptures. I have a huge love of intricate detailed design which I enjoy creating immensely.
