I live across from a creek which is encouraging a lot of wildlife to the area. There are swans, ducks, spoon ills, iris, blue tongues, even rakali to name some. Even though we are not far from the city, our local council appreciates keeping open spaces to help the environment to flourish.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I have always enjoyed drawing and painting. Sometimes though life gets very busy, and we donโt always get time to do all the things we love.
Then approximately 10 years ago a dear friend of mine started talking about going to an art class run by Bill Kerr, at the Louis Joel Art and Community Centre, we decided to both attend, and it was then that my passion for painting was once again ignited. I started off painting in acrylics, but very soon progressed to oils, I find oils have a greater depth of colour and are less erratic than acrylics. I enjoy painting various subject matters from landscapes, to animals, and the occasional portrait, which I have done on commission. I do find that portraits are a bit more challenging, but they can also be so rewarding when you capture the likeness of that person.
I still have so much to learn, and when Iโm not painting, Iโm searching through Pinterest, googling artists or going on utube, watching tutorials. I am thoroughly enjoying the journey to discover how I would like to express myself as an artist.
