Artwork Description

This original acrylic pour explores the meeting point between water, light, and movement. Layers of deep ocean blues flow into soft mineral tones, illuminated by shimmering gold accents that catch the light as the viewer moves.
The composition evokes an aerial seascape or shifting tides seen from above—organic, fluid, and constantly changing. Metallic highlights emerge and disappear within the currents, creating a sense of quiet depth and gentle energy.
Created intuitively, this piece invites contemplation and calm, offering a moment of stillness within motion. Each detail reveals itself slowly, rewarding prolonged viewing and personal interpretation.

Artist Bio

Gabrielle Lawson – Artist Biography
Magill, South Australia

Gabrielle Lawson is a multidisciplinary artist based in South Australia, working from her home studio where she has been actively developing her creative practice over the past two years. Guided by intuition and curiosity, her work embraces exploration across mediums and techniques, allowing each piece to emerge organically through experimentation and discovery.

Her practice spans vibrant abstract compositions as well as more contemplative, detail-driven works, unified by a playful yet thoughtful approach to colour, movement, and emotional expression. Each artwork represents a moment within an ongoing personal and artistic journey, reflecting both spontaneity and introspection.

Outside the studio, Gabrielle finds inspiration in quiet rituals and imaginative worlds — spending time with her cat Coco, reading, and immersing herself in the rich visual narratives of Final Fantasy. These influences subtly inform her love of storytelling, atmosphere, and expressive form.

Her studio serves as both sanctuary and creative laboratory, a space dedicated to experimentation, reflection, and growth. Gabrielle welcomes connection with fellow artists, collectors, and those who feel drawn to the joy, curiosity, and magic of making art.
