Artwork Description

Step into a serene summer day with “Tea Cups,”an exquisite oil painting on canvas. A wooden table, bathed in gentle sunlight from an open window, holds a delicate porcelain tea set hand-painted with enchanting pink roses. Beside it, a blue vase overflows with vibrant roses, while a glass vase boasts a bounty of strawberries, cherries, blueberries, and red currants. Beyond the window, a lush garden comes to life – a girl collects roses, a bench with a straw hat invites relaxation, and two pillows add an extra touch of comfort. White silk curtains sway in the light breeze, capturing the essence of a tranquil afternoon blending artistry with the simple joys of summer.

Artist Bio

I am a self-taught oil painter living half of the year in Birch Bay, WA and half of the year in Oahu, HI. I enjoy painting in a realistic style so that the canvas scenes evoke emotions that allow my soul to travel.

I focus my attention to detail and vibrant use of light and color to capture nature’s awe-inspiring beauty. My passion for the natural world is evident in every dreamlike work of art I create. I absorb healing energy from nature and transpose it to my paintings.

Painting for me is like dreaming, only on canvas.

My favorite subjects include seascapes, flowers, and landscapes. I have studied multiple techniques around the world, combining everything from traditional painting to engraving to form my own unique style. My paintings convey a pleasant, calm joy of life.

They are a window into a special universe filled with happiness and harmony.

I have a Ph D in Chemistry, and I taught math for 22 years. I really enjoy painting, paddle boarding and skiing.
I travel a lot. I observe the beauty of nature, places, animals and people. Traveling inspires me, changes my perspective, and gives me positive creativity which flows into my artwork. In each painting I try to create a special space with its unique vibes.
