This piece captures the quiet presence of a houseplant as a bold design element. Influenced by modern still-life and colour-driven painting, the work focuses on strong shapes, warm–cool contrast, and a simple subject made memorable through colour.

Galina Payne is a talented artist and a graduate of the Tver Art College named after Venetsianov. She moved to Australia and actively participates in local exhibitions. She has also worked with people with disabilities, helping them achieve success in exhibitions. Her works can be seen in galleries in Fremantle, and in her artistic practice she works with oil, acrylic, and pastel.
