Born in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, travel, adventure and history all my life finally led me to Turkey. From childhood I attended Anzac Day marches before I could even walk. From the first time I visited Gallipoli it was clear that I'd found my niche in life.
I'd travelled the world and in particular the Middle East and always returned to Turkey and Gallipoli. One thing I discovered early up in my travels was the fact that I wasn't very good at taking photos. So I decided that rather than take more horrible photographs I would sketch and paint my travels. In 2013 I decided that this was worth pursuing. Other than pursuing my love of painting and art I am also an active battlefield guide for the Gallipoli site and often assist people in their family historical reseach and several authors in assisting authors in their pursuits. I started exhibiting and selling my art in 2014 and usually have two shows a year in the famous port town of Canakkale.
Still an Australian and still an artist. Known as the Gallipoli Artist or Gallipoli Roachie I spend my time wandering and painting this incredible place, where nature has won the war.
