Artwork Description

Limited edition fine art abstract landscape photograph of the Perito Moreno Glacier terminal face in the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, Argentina.

Inkjet, or giclée, is an archival pigment printing process of exceptional quality, offering millions of brilliant colour possibilities - rich, intense blacks, crisp, stunning highlights, perfectly neutral black & whites, exceptional precision and control.

Moab Somerset Museum Rag: A sensuous cotton texture, and hint of optical brightener beautifully captures all the colour, detail and subtle tonalities of images.

Artist Bio

Gavin John is a self-trained photographer who, in this age of multimedia overload, finds himself compelled to return time and again to the purity and power of the single, still image.
After 20 years building his portfolio his first book hit the bookshelves in 2021, and his two movies are regularly screened on the Digital Façade (big screen) at Fed Square.
The diverse complexities Earth’s landscapes and cities have to offer have provided Gavin with a wealth of inspiration. As well as revelling in the huge variety of sweeping landscapes, he delights in juxtaposing the epic with the intimate and playing with perceptions of scale, isolating specific features, and concentrating on colours, geometry, and textures to create abstract works of art.
Gavin releases a calendar of landscape photography annually and his work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has been widely published in print and online. His fine art photography adorns the walls of many corporate offices.
