Relic

This vibrant blue piece is simple and elegant. It is deceptively embedded with a loaded idea, a semi-structured piece of imagination that sits floating in a blue sky. It was a great concept that emerged from history, held in lofty heights. The object appears to be crumbling, decomposing and we can see through it to the blue sky behind.

I'm almost always working intuitively - culture, power and politics are a heavy influence in the way I consider life and art.

This canvas is not stretched, its measurements flat are 102cmx76cm. Once stretched its face will be 90cmx60cm.
