When I worked on this charcoal elephant piece, I wanted to capture more than just its form—I wanted to convey the strength, wisdom and presence these animals embody. The sweeping lines and heavy shading suggest their monumental scale, while softer textures hint at their gentleness and deep family bonds. My time spent watching elephants in the wild taught me how connected they are to one another and to the land itself.
