Artwork Description

This painting draws on the grit and resilience of women in America’s Western frontier, whose lives were shaped by hard labour, isolation, and endurance. I wanted to capture the strength it took to carve out a life in unforgiving landscapes, where survival depended on determination and community. This work stands as a tribute to their courage and their role in shaping Western history.

Artist Bio

I am a charcoal drawing artist based in Queensland, whose work captures the raw beauty and emotion of the natural world. Deeply inspired by wildlife, my art often reflects experiences from overseas animal conservation trips, as well as the rugged spirit of country and western themes. Horses feature prominently in many pieces, embodying a deep respect for their strength and grace. With a passion for drawing anything encountered in everyday life, my artistic journey is a personal reflection of connection to both environment and experience.
