This is a modern interpretation of an old photo originally taken in the early 60's (photographer unknown) in Bourke St Melbourne CBD. I absolutely love old photos showing how life used to be, the classic cars, the stylish fashion - basically, I'm a sucker for nostalgia!
This was created using a combination of palette knife blocking in and blending of colour, overlaid with spray painted stencil layers to bring out the definition whilst maintaining a loose, impressionistic atmosphere.
