As a boy, I used to kick my footy around the backyard religiously, dreaming of one day playing professionally. When I was travelling in Europe, I constantly saw kids doing the same thing wherever they could - in this case it was late evening in the cobbled streets of Burano in Italy. A boy and his dog dreaming of bigger things...
The background was created using impasto paint and a palette knife, which was then overlaid with aerosol spray paint through several layers of hand cut stencils to create the final image.
