"The greatest evils in the world will not be carried out by men with guns, but by men in suits sitting behind desks” - C.S Lewis.
"Faceless" men in suits continue to wield their power to influence the public, maintaining an outward appearance of propriety but with the aim of making as much money as they can, no matter the cost. On the surface, this painting appears to be a playful take on money laundering, but on closer inspection there is a lot more going on than first meets the eye.
This is the second iteration of a painting that is has been selected as a finalist in the National Capital Art Prize 2021.
