Artwork Description

Acrylic on paper

Signed on the back.

This is an Acrylic painting on Hahnemuhle 220gsm acid free paper, it has been inspired by a visit to Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour. Cockatoo Island was shaped by convicts into a ship repair yard during the colonial days, and became a major ship repair yard for allied ships during WW2. It ceased operations in 1991, and now is part of the sydney Harbour trust. Much of the old insdustrial buildings, cranes and equipment remains for our wonderment. My painting is of a bollard along one of the wharves. Paper dimensions, H53.5 x W79cm, image H48.5 x W75cm
