Muse 3

The last of this series of three muses. This one shows a strong attempt at solidifying certain aspects of style, such as how paint and colours is positioned in a particular format. Indeed, Muses 1 through to 3 shows an evolution of this way of doing things, yet all three Muses appear to suit each other very well. Similarities and diversity shown via three female forms, each with different body structures, poses, colours, and moods expressed, yet they all complement each other well! I think a lot of positivity can be expressed through the sentiments shown here.

Although this particular Muse is looking away from the viewer, appearing still, the contrasting aspect is the sense of tension, or perhaps movement even, of her back and the muscles around here, and other areas of her body too; expressing an awareness and an appreciation for the efforts made by the model striking this particular pose.

I have always loved being creative, although I think my earliest memory of thinking, "This is what I want to do!" was when I lived briefly in the UK as a child, in the late 1980s, influenced by articles on Blue Peter, cartoons of the time, the satirical characters of Spitting Images, and the many art galleries and museums I had access to at this time.

In time, I learned to be enthralled by narrative, the human figure, and nature. Later, interest in surrealism and abstraction were added to my mix of interests.

I'm happy to try almost anything. I enjoy working with acrylics, oils, any drawing medium, and photographic techniques and technology.

In more recent years especially, my appreciation for how art and creativity can build connections between people and the environs we live in, has well and truly value added to everything I do and am involved in.
