Le Pole Vaulter

There were two inspirations for this painting. The first is the dynamic contrast of red and green and the second was the french pole vaulter at the Paris olympics.

I have been working in a range of art media for 50 years. On a regular basis I am doing pottery, drawing, jewellery, bonsai and painting. When it comes to painting, I usually work in the portrait or landscape and I favour either colour or texture in my work.
