Hampstead was inspired by Geoff's time living in London, and spending time walking in the city's many public green spaces, Hampstead Heath being by far the largest and most impressive. Apart from the beautiful natural landscapes, the buildings that nature was slowly reclaiming captured his attention. Hampstead depicts falling and cascading flowers around a central column , reminiscent of one of the ancient buildings found on Hampstead Heath. The work is framed in a quality white frame, appearing somewhat like a museum replica in a glass case. The texture of the vintage materials, which were sourced from the artist's 150 year old cottage in the Southern Highlands, really pop in a modern residential setting
