Geordie Bull is a seascape artist who grew up by the ocean and has been painting the sea for as long as she can remember. Her paintings are a celebration of the many ways the ocean nourishes the body, mind and spirit, creating space to breathe and focus on what really matters in life.
Since moving to the surf village of Crescent Head, Geordie has observed the role that the ocean plays a in nurturing healthy friendships, community and a shared reverence for the natural world. Her art draws attention to the simple joy of being immersed in the sea, whether alone or with friends. In a world dominated by consumerism and competition, this is not something to take for granted.
Painting with acrylic and texture medium, Geordie also explores the way surfing evokes the inner qualities of grace, beauty, divinity, power and surrender in women. She hopes her work inspires women and girls to spend more time in the ocean, connecting with their own truth, wisdom and wildness.
