Beauty in My Mind

Beauty In My Mind is a painting using synesthesia. Synesthesia is when you hear a sound and it is interpreted by a shape in your mind or visa versa. This was painted when whooshing cars were on the road , a football game in the background, balls bouncing, birds with their many calls and songs. These are all interpreted by me into colors and shapes.

Thank you for viewing my work ! Georgie is based in Brisbane, QLD and has a background in music teaching/performing. She has always painted. As a small child doing abstracts and botanical studies. Many of the designs she used as a young child are still relevant in her work today. She always says, "Don't forget your roots". She mainly works in acrylics, also in pen, charcoal, watercolor and paper. Her style is realistic and semi to full abstract. She enjoys organic abstracts in bright vibrant colors and shapes that really make a statement. Landscapes are crafted using her love of trees in muted or bright colors depending on her mood at the time. Inspiration comes from nature. She also has regular solo exhibitions at her Art Society Gallery. The last ones being in 2023 and 2025. In addition she is also librarian there.
