Gina [Last Name] – Artist & Childcare Professional
Gina is an artist who expresses herself through acrylic painting, a passion nurtured from a young age. Growing up, she was profoundly influenced by her mother, an artist who created works for their church and local CWA (Country Women’s Association) theme nights. Though her mother was shy about sharing her artwork, Gina was inspired by the courage her mother found shortly before her passing, when she entered some of her pieces into an exhibition at her nursing home.
Gina's artistic journey truly took off when, while watching artist Jay Lee on YouTube, her husband encouraged her to take the plunge into painting. With his support, he ordered her first proper set of acrylic paints online, sparking her creative exploration. In her role as a childcare professional, she began integrating Australian Aboriginal culture into her work, creating an inclusive environment where children could contribute their ideas.
With continued encouragement from her husband, son, and her best friend/sister, Tricia, Gina has ventured into different artistic styles and techniques, consistently evolving her craft. Today, she combines her love for creativity with her respect for cultural diversity, fostering both personal growth and a passion for art.
