Lush

With this painting I loved the feel of the smooth application of the oils on the canvas, the richness of the colours and texture. A friend of mine who has a terrific garden with unusual flowers had this growing. As soon as I saw it I had to capture it on canvas.

I am an Illawarra based artist and my background is Interior and graphic design, this is evident in my paintings as I love bright colour, pattern and design. My other passion is in landscape and the freedom that the palette knife/credit card gives plus the use of bright clear colours which are my defining mark.
My florals are reminiscent of my graphic background with bold colours and even bolder outlines. I love the challenge of creating artworks using various mediums from inks, acrylics watercolour and the richness of oils.
