Red Velvet

A friend of mine gave me the challenge of painting these beautiful flowers. I had never seen them before and I loved the colours and the insides of them. Parts are painted with the brush but mostly the palette knife has been used.

I am an Illawarra based artist and my background is Interior and graphic design, this is evident in my paintings as I love bright colour, pattern and design. My other passion is in landscape and the freedom that the palette knife/credit card gives plus the use of bright clear colours which are my defining mark.
My florals are reminiscent of my graphic background with bold colours and even bolder outlines. I love the challenge of creating artworks using various mediums from inks, acrylics watercolour and the richness of oils.
