Where the water flows

With this painting I experimented with various mediums. I loved using the inks as a background, then started adding layering with natural charcoal, the smoothness of the soft pastel and the pop of the acrylics. I currently have this hanging in my reading room where I sit and relax.

I am an Illawarra based artist and my background is Interior and graphic design, this is evident in my paintings as I love bright colour, pattern and design. My other passion is in landscape and the freedom that the palette knife/credit card gives plus the use of bright clear colours which are my defining mark.
My florals are reminiscent of my graphic background with bold colours and even bolder outlines. I love the challenge of creating artworks using various mediums from inks, acrylics watercolour and the richness of oils.
