Inspired by Danish forests in wintertime (Bakken), and just before the bulbs spring forth in April near the home of my parents in Stubbekobing Falster (Denmark), this abstract combines a beautiful copper leaf panel representing the setting sun between the birch trees. Notably, the metalic leaf catches the light in the late afternoon and looks golden - adding extra interest. Begun in 2009, it remained unfinished until 2022.
