Gillian is a Victorian Illustrator and botanical artist coming from a family of strong female artists. Her work uses a variety of mediums such as watercolour, gouache, pen and pencil. She originally trained as a special effects film artist, however adapted her artistic side to suit working from home. Gill’s inspiration comes from the simple beauty of nature and natural history. Her work has won minor awards in art shows and she is currently working on her first children’s book.
Gills current work looks at the beauty of botanical and zoological art and chinoiserie, including native botany, entomology and animals. But also explores personalities and emotions of animal subjects.
