I painted a series of trees in different locations about western Australia, and all were painted Plein air from life which gives the works a spontaneous quality. my interest is working outdoors mainly as the impact of the trees has a profound influence on each piece. paint is used in a thick impasto technique and truly celebrates the joy of Australian trees .
im an artist and jeweller from western Australia i studied fine art at Edinburgh college of art and taught fine art at Aberdeen college for 12 years i work in a variety of mediums and what i paint directly is affective by whatever my latest obsession is watercolour I've long been interested in and people i love painting people.
