My work is bold, spontaneous and energetic, however my work expresses also a mesmerising meditative and calming response.

My work is purely abstract, my intuition recognises and draws elements taken from nature and landscape views. I love scenes where the ocean meets the land, hence the calming effects it brings to my work.

Acrylic paint is infused with gold, silver and copper leafing to create a luxurious finish that brings my paintings to life.

I choose to allow paintings to come through intuitively and abstractly.

I enjoy seeing the different responses that each of my artworks inspire from my clients and how my art can transform a room in a home from ordinary to stylish and stunning.

I’m passionate about creating unique beautiful pieces and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Artist Bio

Gillian Deane is a Brisbane based Artist who mainly works with Acrylic paint fused with gold, silver and copper leaf on canvas. Gillian is a self taught artist who knew from a young age in High School that she had a passion for art consistently receiving straight “A’s” for her talent.

However she put aside her passion for art and her career path steered her in successful sales roles. It was not until she stopped work to be a stay at home Mum that she picked up a brush and her passion to create again was ignited. She went to one art class on the Gold Coast and asked her friend is she could put her art piece in her Gift Store in Burleigh Heads. It sold within days and she knew then…. she wanted a career as an artist.

The principle theme in Gillian’s work is bold, spontaneous and energetic and also expresses a mesmerizing meditative and calming response. Her work is purely abstract, drawing elements taken from nature and landscape views .She is inspired mainly by scenes where the land meets the water. Her soul always wants to live by the water, its the powerful calming effect that inspires her works.
