Gina has a passion for Australian flora, fauna & landscape. From her own photos her works are created using favourite mediums, oils, watercolours & gouache. The close up compositions of her botanical pieces highlight the beautiful shapes, colours & textures of the plants. ‘Each part of the plant’s lifecycle is so inspiring to me. I love exploring the flora on my travels, whether it be in a dramatic landscape, local gardens or on the roadside driving. I’m interested in all the aspects of plants & trees & try to capture this in my work. Focusing on the flowers, branches & leaves including new & old growth. I love the different stages that they go through, shape, colour & texture that change with age, weather or environment. I’m forever inspired by nature.
