When I was a child, my brothers and I used to play on the rocks at the southern end of Pearl Beach, just north of Sydney. I was always fascinated by the different forms of life in the little holes in the rocks, which were filled with water. This piece reminds me of those beautiful rockpools.
The painting is protected by a satin varnish. It can remain unframed but would also look beautiful framed.
