Soft Above Stillness is inspired by natural shapes and the quiet magic of light and shadows. A waterlily floats gently on still water, its soft, organic form unfolding in a calm and simple way. Light touches the petals softly, while shadows settle around it, creating depth and a sense of mystery.

I wanted to capture how something so natural can feel almost magical—the way light and shadow change what we see. The waterlily becomes a quiet moment, suspended in stillness, where nature, light, and form come together.

Hi, I am Girija a watercolor and acrylic artist inspired by the beauty of natural shapes and colors, with a special love for floral.
Born and brought up in India, my creative journey began in the advertising industry, where I spent several years honing my visual storytelling skills. After moving to Australia, I transitioned into working as a freelance artist and repeat pattern designer, exploring new ways to express my connection with nature through art.

Now, after more than a decade of creative experience, I am taking a leap of faith to follow my original passion—working as a full-time fine artist. My work reflects a blend of my cultural roots and my deep appreciation for organic forms, aiming to bring softness, color, and a sense of calm into everyday spaces.
