Gisele Ragusa is an artist from Eora/Sydney, Australia. Gisele’s painting and drawing practice draws upon her personally felt and close connection to the world around her. Animals are the overarching theme and key figure of inspiration for her artworks as she seeks to capture, demonstrate and highlight their truly unique beauty. Gisele’s artworks provoke a sense of connection to animals through focused spaces and realistic depictions. It is her passion to bring joy to individuals' lives through the creation of her artworks by capturing the extensive beauty that nature beholds.
Since 2018, Gisele’s process has developed primarily through a large network of commission based artworks and pet portraits. This connection with her clients is highly personal as Gisele is able to gain a unique knowledge and understanding of the animals and environments she depicts within her artworks. This process of understanding enables her to replicate the emotions and expressions of her subjects through photographic realism, in a way that brings them to life in her art. This passion for bringing subjects to life is the driving force for Gisele's process as she is able to capture a special moment in time and provide a keepsake memory for her clientele.
Gisele has just completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School majoring in painting.
