Every day is a struggle. Work, eat, sleep, art, life.
This struggle is also reflected in nature and is what inspires me the most.
The colours, the textures, and the play of light trigger my imagination. Images hide in my conscious and unconscious thoughts and burst into life when I get into my studio.
I allow my intuition to guide my art practice, using acrylic, charcoal, watercolour, pastel, or pencil as the mood, or subject takes me. Exploring different styles, and combining different mediums to create each finished piece is a meditative process, exploring the struggle.
For me, art is not a choice. It is part of my soul, my heart, my thoughts, my life.
