Artwork Description

Inspired by the rugged cliffs and soaring skies of Nitmiluk Gorge, this original artwork captures the raw beauty and strength of the Australian landscape. Bold brushstrokes bring the sandstone textures to life, while the windswept trees reach upward against the deep, endless blue.
Perfect for lovers of nature, collectors of Australian art, or anyone wanting to bring the energy of the outback into their home

Artist Bio

Glenda Markwell has had a passion for art from a young age. She has attended various painting and drawing workshops while pursuing a career in advertising and marketing. Formal education and experience in design principles has complemented her art practices.
Her interest has always been painting and drawing from nature, mostly focused on trees, animals,
and other natural objects. Glenda works in pencil, charcoal, acrylic, pastel, watercolour and, more recently, digital media, but her true passion lies with paint and pencil.
Since 2020, she has been focusing more on her artistic pursuits, pushing personal boundaries,
trying new styles, techniques ,and subjects and entering art competitions.
Glenda is a member of the Royal Queensland Art Society.
